Bombita

  • Unity 5.2 only

  • 30 FPS minimum with a fully working and balanced gameplay

  • Using placeholder graphic assets was strongly recommended

Our theme was: Platform game where the jump is done indirectly. The player trigger a risky action which provoke the jump.


It was the first time I worked with GD and this was for the most important project of my third year at school. We had difficulty to decide what will be our game. Our first shot was a child followed by a creature. In order to jump we had to use that creature which would have stomped the ground. If our character was in the impact zone he would be dead. 

Finally we decided to have a character who places bomb. But we have kept the impact zone mechanic which represents the dead zone. But now the more you keep the button to place a bomb pressed, the bigger is the dead zone but you will jump higher.

After a difficult Alpha milestone, we ask some beta-testers to correct our controls, cameras, and other gameplay elements in order to have a better experience. We add some more features in order to have more diversity.

Finally we added some sounds and graphic placeholders to have a funny atmosphere and here is the result !

.The teaching staff was really enthusiastic and happy to see the evolution of our game between the alpha and the beta.
